Can you begin by telling me a little about your Child Hood?
Raised
by my God-fearing
Grandmother due to a
murder-suicide by my
father. My
Grandmother
sacrificed her time,
dreams, ambitions in
life to provide us
with food, shelter,
an education, and
faith in God.
When
did you receive
Jesus Christ as your
personal Savior?
As
a child, Jesus was
my childhood hero.
I loved hearing and
re-enacting His
life. In my
late teens I
ventured off like
the prodigal son
only to realize that
My Father wants me
to be with Him.
When
did you begin
writing? Did you
study music? Where
do you want to at in
5 years?
As
a child, I didn't
realize I was
writing poetry.
I was writing what
inspired me at the
time. I study
music now. I
played the saxophone
and clarinet in the
5th grade. I
started drum lessons
after school in the
6th grade. I
played drums up
until 9th grade.
Before
Christ was what your
music like? Also the
genre of the music.
I have been a
selective listener
and acquired an
eclectic
appreciation of
music. My
grandmother would
crush any tape or cd that
was not gospel
(literally). I
am very selective
when it comes to
music. I loved
Jay-Z, 2pac, Bone
Thugs and Harmony, R
Kelly, etc.
But only there
greatest musical
masterpieces in my
view, It had to have
an amazing beat
mixed with witty,
enlightening lyrics.
Describe
your music now and
how it affects a
world that is dying?
Amazing beats mixed with witty,
enlightening lyrics.
Our words are spirit
and life. They
will lead you to
higher quality of
life. We are
what we speak, or
life and death are
in the power of the
tongue.
Where have you performed?
Fans
all throughout the
world have viewed
our performances.
Some venues along
our recent tour
include the states
of NJ, PA, DE, MD,
Washington D.C,
Bahamas – and
soon, CA, NE, NC,
Ohio, and a host of
international
cities.
Who are some of your mentors in music? Who
inspires you?
The
local musicians who
performed for the
love, the one's that
never made it but
kept trying.
The kind that were
to busy with life's
responsibilities to
pursue music
full-time but gave
everything they
could every
opportunity they
had.
What is your advice to young people with
career interests the
entertainment and
music industries?
God
is. The days
are coming when the
negative music will
be forgotten.
Do you want to be
forgotten?
Don't you want to be
remembered?
Make money while you
pursue your career.
Come into the game with
your own money so
you can own
yourself.
Starving artists
need a job. Go
the extra mile.
Do what everybody
else is forgetting
to do (the basics)
Is there any up and coming project that we
should be looking
out for?
Yes
our sophomore album
entitled “ONE”.
This album is
exactly what it
says, we Are One
with Christ. We are
Husband and Wife. Write a reflection on your faith?
I keep the faith throughout the whole process. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief;
but was strong in
faith, giving glory
to God (Romans
4:20). We will
joyfully sing about
your victory. We
will wave our flags
in the name of our
God. The LORD will
fulfill all your
requests (Psalm 20:5) He will lead and guide me into all truth, show me things to come,
bring back to my
remembrance things
which He has spoken.
We all need God.
We all want God.
He made it this way.
I endeavor to
introduce God to
them that are
searching for Him.
To make those who
are unaware of His
birth, burial, and
resurrection. The
Spirit of the Lord
is on me, because I
am marked out by him
to give good news to
the poor; he has sent me to make well those who are broken-hearted; to say
that the prisoners
will be let go, and
the blind will see,
and to make the
wounded free from
their chains.
If you would reflect on one
verse in the word of
God to tell your
peers what verse
would that be and
tell me what it
means to you 1
Corinthians 2:9But as it is
written, "No
eye has seen, no ear
has heard, and no
mind has imagined
the things that God
has prepared for
those who love
him." NIV This
is exhortation to do
His commandments.
Remember if we LOVE
God we will keep his
commandments
(instructions,
orders, way of doing
things). His
commandments are as
follows:
Love the Lord
your God with all
your heart and with
all your soul and
with all your mind
and with all your
strength.
The
second is this:
'Love your neighbor
as yourself. There
is no commandment
greater than
these."
