ANSWERED PRAYERS

 

Have you ever prayed and wondered if God heard me?
God says for him to listen to us we must:

Psalm 34:15, 16

 15            Be turned from evil, and do good; make a search for peace,                                                  desiring it with all your heart.

 

 16            The eyes of the Lord are on the upright, and his ears are open to                                                      their cry.

·                    Examine yourself 

·                    Remove the things that are stumbling blocks (things within you)

 

1Timothy 2:8

  8            It is my desire, then, that in every place men may give themselves to                                     prayer, lifting up holy hands, without wrath or argument.

 

Matthew 5:23, 24 

 23      If then you are making an offering at the altar and there it  comes to your mind that your brother has something against you,

                  24      While your offering is still before the altar, first go and make                   peace with your brother, then come and make your offering

Love and charity is s better than burnt-offerings and sacrifice

Get over; those who have wronged us, we must forgive; and those whom we have            wronged, reconcile with our brother/or sister, confessing our fault, humbling ourselves,     begging pardon, and making amends for wrong done.

 

 We must not let the sun go down upon our wrath; since we pray before we go to sleep.                  Don’t let the sun rise on our wrath on a Sabbath-day; as it is a day of prayer.

Until we make peace, we are totally unfit for communion with God.
