5 Things You Can Do
To Help End Slavery
Join Today
1. Spread The Word To Your Sphere Of
Influence
Friends, family, people you work with, people
you volunteer with, people you go to school
with, these are all people who are part of your Sphere
of Influence. They are people you come into
contact with on a regular basis whether it be in
person or via the Internet. Let them know that
you are a part of the movement to End Human
Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery. Believe it
or not, many people still have not heard of the
term "Human Trafficking" and have no
idea that Modern Day Slavery Exists. You can
spread the word by:
-Sending out a mass email to your contacts
letting them know about this group or other
similar groups, so that they will know that
there are organizations out there that raise
awareness about this issue and who help victims
directly.
-Word of mouth. Bring this up in conversation! I
cannot stress enough how powerful this is. Just
by the mere mention that you are attending a
meeting about this cause will spark great
opportunity to open someone's eyes about this
issue.
2. Educate
Yourself
There are a number of books and movies that are
out about this subject as well as a wealth of
information online. The better educated you are
on this subject, the better you are equipped to
educate others as well as contribute to this
cause.
3. Help Raise Funds
Almost every organization that exists to raise
awareness and to help victims of Slavery rely on
the contributions and donations of its members
and staff. Volunteer to work on existing
fundraisers, Create your own fundraiser, or
contribute your time and money if possible.
4. Volunteer/Donate
Services, Shelter, and Transportation to Victims
For those of you who are trained to work with
Victims of Human Trafficking Directly, you can
volunteer your services:
-Counseling
-Legal Representation
-Medical Services
-Career Counseling
-Transportation Services
-etc.
or donate:
-Shelter
-Transportation Vehicles
-Food
-etc.
5. Create Your Own
Organization
Many universities, church groups, or any other
religious organizations provide opportunities
for you to form a group within their
organization to potentially raise awareness,
funds, donations, services, etc. for victims of
Human Trafficking. There are a few wonderful
groups like this who are currently a part of our
larger group. We can all work together on this.
It is wonderful for these various groups to
connect with one another as each group adds its
own unique flavor and approach to this issue.
Thank you xtrememeasure.com
all for your continued support and work towards
this cause. Your efforts are always appreciated
and do not go unnoticed!
